I moved to Dallas in 2016 to attend Dallas Theological Seminary and began attending Northwest shortly thereafter. As I served my church as a volunteer in Women’s Ministry, I felt God’s call to pursue further Biblical education. I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, where I worked as a Registered Nurse in various capacities for many years with my longest and favorite stint being in Labor and Delivery. It is a dream come true for me to serve as the Group Life Minister here at Northwest Bible Church. We are excited to see what the Lord has for us as we grow in Christ together! You may see us around DFW with our wonderful service therapy and agility dog "Gracie." We rescued her in June of 2019 and named her after God's sweet Grace. In November of 2020 I got married in McKinney, Tx to my husband Robert. In my time here, I have been so blessed to be surrounded by an incredible team and have the best leaders to continue to learn and grow with. I received my degree from The University of Texas Arlington in Business Administration, and I am honored to use my administrate talent to serve Northwest. Before moving to Dallas and attending Northwest, I volunteered for 5 years in different ministries for women, small groups, worship/ AV, high school, and children. I invited Christ into my life in June of 2014 and grew in my faith through Bible Study Fellowship, community, and during my mission trip to Haiti. I have been attending Northwest since 2019 when I moved to Dallas. I am beyond grateful that I am able to serve as the Care & Women's Administrative Assistant. I like biking, hiking, camping, taking pictures, and eating a good steak. My favorite place to hang out with others as we hang out with Jesus is outdoors in God’s creation. As a desperately dependent follower of Jesus, my passion is to invite others into the unexpected joy of life with Him. We married in 1983 and have three adult daughters, one son-in-law, and three grandchildren. My wife was one of those people I saw running hard after Jesus. During that time, I was surrounded by followers of Jesus who were convinced that life, love, and service to others flowed out of their communion with Jesus. I had a train wreck with the grace of Jesus when I was an Electrical Engineering student at Louisiana State University (home of the Fighting Tigers). I am grateful to serve and walk alongside a church body and staff where we are desperately dependent on Him. In February 2001, He put me in the position of Senior Pastor. In 1996, after graduating from Dallas Theological Seminary, God placed me on the staff of Northwest Bible Church as Minister to Singles. Have you heard the “turtle on the fence post” saying? It goes like this: if you’re walking along a fence and spot a turtle sitting atop a fencepost, you know it didn’t get there by itself.
